Media Technologies & Ancillary

The picture for the poster, I used a Fuji Film camera to add to the professional look for a advertising poster. I edited the poster using Photo shop CS3 on the apple mac.
I adapted it by changing the color to a dark mysterious lighting to add to the atmosphere of mystery.
I wanted to keep the the genre of thriller, this is shown in the poster.
I added a tag line which reads ' What goes on behind closed doors..'
I used this because on other horror film posters I  have anaylised they have tag lines to fit the type of genre there film is or has something to do with the image.
I wanted to have a picture of the white door because it goes against the typical conventions of a horror film as 'white' is seen as innocent and pure, however i have used it in mine as play on with the film as behind the white door bad things happen.

This website helped me with the create the professional looking poster above. I found that on a poster to show the high quality standard there are star ratings which i have included and the names of the institutions that are supporting the film. There are also star casting names but as we had no-one famous staring in our teaser trailer we haven't included that.

I used Apple Mac computers to edit my film teaser trailer on and to create my poster.
The software that we used to edit the trailer with was Final cut express. I found this difficult to use on the apple mac computer because I had never used it before and I had to find out how to use it and add effects on to the images. Even though it was hard to use the end product was successful in how we imaged it to look.
Working with the software Photo shop I found this difficult as we had never had a lesson in how to use it, so for this again we had to play about and see how it turned out. With help the end product looks professional.
Adding music to the teaser trailer was easy as we searched for a copy right free music.

CONSTRUCTION, RESEARCH AND PLANNING

The research and planning was organised so that we could keep on top of the filming needed to be done, the storyboarding was well planned so we knew what image we had to capture to create the teaser trailer, the organisation sheet I had created was equally as important as we had to stick to the times and dates of when we needed the images. The planning of the location had previously change so over coming this was a challenge as we needed to know what set location we had to work with. We had taken some images from the storyboard that we thought we could use for the begining rather than the intended opening, this helped us with the location dilemma as we already had a safe enviroment to work in as that had already been confirmed.
